The WR-V will be the smallest auto in its category, as the company is calling the vehicle as a hatchback crossover.
Honda Cars India today launched its compact crossover model WR-V in the country priced between Rs 7.75 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Exterior: On the exterior front, the new Honda WR-V takes design inspirations from Honda Jazz but chrome grille and headlamp integrated signature style LED DRLs & position lamps gives it a new look altogether. Based on the Jazz hatchback, the WR-V is available in two variants, S and VX, with the option of a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The higher trims are equipped with a sunroof, which is a first in the segment. One of the major highlights of the new crossover is the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It gets 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, cruise control, unique style cockpit style instrument cluster, fabric upholstery, Multi-Information Display with Tripmeter and Fuel Level Indicator, 7 Step Illumination Control and much more.More news: South Korea Impeachment Protest Death Toll Rises to 3
Honda WR-V is launching in India tomorrow making it the third SUV from Honda in the Indian market and according to reports the vehicle will compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport. It comes with a 1.2 litre i-VTEC Petrol engine which has a capacity to churn out 89 bhp and a torque of 110 Nm. We would also like to add that there are just two variants for sale in both the petrol and diesel derivatives.
The model comes with various features like satellite linked navigation, smartphone connectivity, dual airbags, anti lock braking system, among others. The petrol engine delivers a claimed ARAI fuel efficiency of 17.5 kmpl, while the diesel offers 25.5 kmpl of fuel economy. The base diesel S MT variant gets a pricing of INR 8.79 lakh while the top spec diesel model VX loaded with segment best features is priced at INR 9.99 lakh (All prices ex-showroom Delhi).
