In the short preview, DC introduces their Justice team of superheroes to the audience.
The trailer has the stylized look and feel of many of director Zack Snyder's films like "300", "Sucker Punch" and "Watchmen", which is kind of a good news-bad news.
"The thing that's awesome about these icons is that a lot of them we haven't seen in the movies before on the big screen", Snyder says of the newer superheroes in Justice League (in theaters November 17) such as seafaring warrior Aquaman (Jason Momoa), cybernetic newcomer Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and the super-speedy Flash (Ezra Miller). Although he was killed off in Batman v Superman, the Man Of steel is widely thought to come back from the dead in Justice League.
Justice League has been one of the most awaited movies for DC fans who were left a little disappointed with the last Batman vs Superman movie. We can assume majority to be origin stories, with Wonder Women releasing in June this year. "It is a process to make a team out of this group of individuals, but for the greater good maybe they can put their differences aside". This has been kind of a staple with Snyder. The five superheroes will work together to carry out their mission of saving the world.
The Justice League trailer was unveiled yesterday with no sign of Henry Cavill's character, but now Snyder has broken his silence.More news: Syria fires missiles at Israeli warplanes on bombing run
Superman is conspicuously absent in the trailer. We will also see a shot of Meera, played by Amber Heard, as she exercises her power under the sea.
There are some hints and reveals in the trailer like a quick glimpse at Amy Adams' Lois Lane, hinting at a possible return of Superman. We also get a small taste of J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. DC is always my studio of choice and I'm very excited to see the final film.
The anticipated "Justice League" trailer has been released, as reported by USA Today on Saturday, March 25, 2017, 11:01 ET.
Gadot is set to star in Wonder Woman's stand-alone film due out in theaters on June 2nd.
