DNA evidence is being credited with finding the man authorities say killed a New York City woman who was out running near her mother's MA home last summer.
Her body was found in a remote, wooded area a half mile away later that evening.
"Vanessa Marcotte was a much loved member of the Google team, working in our NY office for the past year and a half, and known for her ubiquitous smile, passion for volunteer work, and love of Boston sports", a Google spokesperson said. Early said that he anticipates bringing a murder charge against Colon-Ortiz as the investigation progresses. He said that trooper also noticed the driver matched the profile released in February, which determined the suspect in Marcotte's killing was a Hispanic or Latino man, about 30 years old, with light- to medium-toned skin, an athletic build and is either balding or has short hair.

Angel Cordero Ortiz, 31, was arrested overnight, according to reports in Boston. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored SUV parked in the area around the time of Marcotte's murder.
The man would have sustained scratches on his face, neck, arms, hands, and upper body sustained during a struggle with the victim, said Early.
State police detectives and local police previously said they received more than 1,300 tips in the case.
Princeton residents said they're relieved to hear about an arrest in the case.
