The girl, believed to be about ten or 12 years old, was unable to speak, had no clothes on and was emaciated when she was discovered in January.
The 8-year-old was spotted by a police officer who was on a routine patrol of the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary.
The girl started screeching at Yadav just like monkeys when they tried to get hold of her.
Her incredible story only emerged this week when video surfaced of the girl, dressed in a white flowered patterned frock, screaming and cowering on her hospital bed as a doctor tries to calm her down.

According to ANI reports, the girl was found in the Katarniaghat forests of Bahraich about two months ago.
Chief Medical officer DK Singh described the girl, and said "The girl was found two months back, eats and walks like animals, and runs away on seeing humans". She was surrounded by three monkeys.
The marks on her skin indicated that she had been living amongst animals for some time.
They added that she sometimes turns violent and gets scared when someone goes near her. Now she showing signs of improvement and is better and healthy. Dr Singh said that it is not known how long the girl has been living in the jungle and the police are trying to see if she is in the missing persons' list. A decade later he still walked on all fours and hadn't developed language skills.
According to the doctors who are treating her, she is prone to bouts of violence.
