Chelsea's lead at the top of the English Premier League now stands at only four points and the title race is wide open again after they were well beaten on Sunday.

The 19-year-old, who has now scored in consecutive league matches for the first time since September, received a standing ovation when he was replaced by Ibrahimovic with seven minutes remaining, long after Ander Herrera had doubled his side's lead.

And the United boss believes the victory proves his team would have beaten Chelsea in last month's FA Cup quarter-final tie, had Herrera not received a controversial red card in that match at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young insists that his side expected their 2-0 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford despite their struggles at home for much of the season.

Premier League leaders Chelsea's advantage over second-placed Tottenham has been cut to four points with six games to go and Cahill has acknowledged they can not afford to slip up again.

With this Premier League defeat, Chelsea is four points away from Tottenham.

"We'll work on what we did wrong and then try to rectify that to put in a solid free-flowing performance". So far it has been okay for me but I still have to show I can give more.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford was at his absolute best throughout last night's game.

Herrera has been one of United's stand-out performers this season, making 37 starts in all competitions as Mourinho's men attempt to break into the top four and achieve Europa League glory.

"The game was totally controlled with 11 players, only the decision that made us play with 10 men for the second half and 10 minutes in the first half gave Chelsea a chance to be dominant".

'I think Marcus is a great player, ' the Italy full-back said.

"I have to keep working, performing and giving what the manager wants me to give", Herrera told Manchester United's official website. The kid played fantastic. For all that they draw too many games, they have the biggest squad in terms of quality in the league and they were playing at home. "Be patient and have great will to fight. otherwise we must clap another team", he added.

"But while it is mathematically possible we have to go with everything we have".
