Josh Brolin's casting as Cable in Fox's Deadpool 2 has been greeted with both joy and confusion online.
The production has been on the warpath to find the right actor for the role for months, with Michael Shannon nearly nabbing the role and Stranger Things star David Harbour on the shortlist.
Academy Award nominated actor Josh Brolin has been cast opposite Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming sequel. Presumably, this came after a deal with recent frontrunner Michael Shannon fell through. As Limp Bizkit might say in a time like this, "Deadpool" 2 will "keep Brolin, Brolin, Brolin, Brolin".
Ryan Reynolds will obviously be reprising his role as Deadpool, with Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) taking the role of Domino.
In November, director Tim Miller was replaced by one of the guys behind the burgeoning John Wick franchise: David Leitch.
