A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department tells ET that during a traffic stop conducted in Hollywood, law enforcement noticed that the 27-year-old rapper's Mercedes G-Wagon had only paper plates.
However, TMZ has since reported that Tyga was not under the influence, and he got away with just a ticket. News reported. After the cops pulled him over for a routine traffic stop, they chose to give him a sobriety test for a possible DUI. Tyga was driving his brand new Mercedes G-Series, but without the necessary license plates.
"They're not broken up", a source told Us Weekly.
TMZ reports the rapper was only taken into custody to avoid making a scene outside of the club. He was then guided to the police auto by an officer and handcuffed before being placed in the rear of the vehicle.More news: American soldier killed fighting ISIS in Afghanistan
Tyga explained to paparazzi that he had been stopped because he had "paper plates" on his new vehicle.
Of course, the rapper was filmed while being arrested, video which showed Tyga saying that he had just bought the auto.
Now, as far as we know, Tyga has NOT yet been released, and his attorney has not made a statement. A warrant was issued for his arrest previous year (16) after he skipped a court hearing relating to a rent dispute with his former landlord.
