"Because I was anxious about that and they said 'do your thing and we will adjust to what you do". It's the chance for you to be completely irreverent.
I would like to see him explore relationships with his family a little bit more.
Pirates of the Caribbean was originally a film based on the fanciful Disneyland theme park ride, and grossed close to $700 million throughout the world.
When you have a character like this, you can go anywhere with it.
The majority of reviews available for the fifth film in the blockbuster franchise aren't kind, leaving the Johnny Depp vehicle with a measly 33 percent "rotten" rating on Rotten Tomatoes, at the time of this writing.
What is left unsaid is that the role could also be the lift that his career so desperately needs, after having led a string of major box-office flops, such as The Lone Ranger (2013), Mortdecai (2015) and Alice Through The Looking Glass (2016).
"We were so busy with the scale of the storytelling", Rush said.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will be available at a total of 83 pre-existing ScreenX locations throughout the world.More news: Khloe Kardashian asks, "What the hell does Kylie Jenner do all day?"
It's not the acting that nearly fatally sinks Salazar's Revenge though. The troubled actor also finalised a messy divorce from actress Amber Heard, 31, in January.
THE ransom threat made to Disney last week was very clear. They probably couldn't anyway, because the story once again centers on Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow, a character who at this point makes more sense in a Party City clearance aisle than on a multiplex screen. Pirates scud through smooth blue-black waters in a dinghy, a lighthouse behind them, the uneasy stillness breached only when the visage of a supermodel slips up along the prow. That is to say, it's got jaw-dropping special effects, superb performances, and of course, Johnny Depp.
But even if you haven't seen any of the previous entries in this initially entertaining but sometimes overblown and sometimes meandering Disney moneymaker, "Dead Men" works well enough as a stand-alone, swashbuckling comedic spectacle, thanks to the terrific performances, some ingenious practical effects, impressive CGI and a steady diet of PG-13 dialogue peppered with not particularly sophisticated but (I have to admit) fairly amusing sexual innuendo.
Below are trailers from each of the Pirates of the Caribbean films (along with some mild spoilers for those who haven't seen the movies).
In a lengthy - seriously, you've never seen anything so long - blog post called Screenwriting Column 55, Rossio slid in a mention about his original "Pirates 5" villain, who was changed into Javier Bardem's Armando Salazar. And that's such a shame, but I think it's great that we're speaking really honestly about it now and I'm happy to fly the flag for that.
Yet the "Pirates" movies are well liked.
He pauses and adds: "Also, it is only with a movie like Pirates where I find myself getting fan mail all the way from China".
Like Rush, film studio Walt Disney is choosing to listen to the fans - it has brought back the franchise's old favourites Orlando Bloom, 40, and Keira Knightley, 32, this time around, after the pair were conspicuously absent in the previous film.
