Third, on Instagram, people can only opt out of their post being added to a Location or Hashtag Story after it's been posted; on Snapchat, the process is opt-in. Snapchat is an application which helps to upload your stories or pictures and share it with your contacts. Your footage will be added to that city's Explore story.
From today, users will see new story rings at the top of Explore, showing stories happening near your location.

Instagram's Location Stories will appear on Explore tab (left), and both Location and Hashtag Stories will appear atop search results.
If you want to be included, just add a location sticker or hashtag to your story. While the app already allows searching for location and hashtag-specific photos and videos, the functionality was until Tuesday limited to content that users posted to their main feed.
Stories disappear if no one has contributed within a 24-hour window.
Now, Instagram is again, blatantly rolling out another feature that does more or less exactly the same thing.
