The rain-soaked weekend forecast has already nixed two popular Mother's Day events in Boston, but just how much rain is going to fall?
The clouds will keep temperatures in the 60s, which will be warmer than Friday afternoon's high temperatures.
Rain and showers are in the forecast both Saturday and Sunday with temperatures only in the mid 50s.
We'll continue to see thunderstorms throughout the afternoon/evening.
After a week with clouds, but no rain, the clouds will continue this weekend, but this time rain will follow. Expect a mostly cloudy sky and dry weather all day. After noon, a few spotty showers are possible here and there that'll clear out by dark. I'm still thinking a widespread 1 to 2 inches of rain is likely across New Jersey, with locally higher amounts where it really pours. By Friday, the new couple will be close enough to give us a cool, cloudy day with a high in the upper 50s.
Sunday features increasing sunshine and highs in the mid 70s.More news: Ballistic missile test-fired from California coastal base
Some residents with hopes to enjoy Mother's Day weekend outdoors will be forced to bring celebrations inside.
Highs will stay in the 80s through the middle of next week with chances for storms returning to Kansas Tuesday and Thursday.
Tomorrow more sun with highs around 80°.
While the rain might let up for Sunday's brunch hours, that would be the only reprive.
Northern areas will see showers and occasional downpours during the night. A look ahead to next week shows a significant warm up with highs in the 80s for Wednesday and Thursday.
