On its Facebook page, the developer posted a picture of the game's Rook Island setting, along with a sentence in French that translates to "an island we never truly left".
Fans think this is something Far Cry 3-related, and with the popularity of the Vaas Montenegro character, as well as the success Michael Mando has found with Better Call Saul, that isn't a bad shout.More news: 100 days in, Trump says he's brought about 'profound change'
Could it potentially be a Far Cry 3 remaster or a prequel telling the story of the incredible villain Vaas?
Either way, I'm always excited for a new Far Cry game.
This was followed another post by the publisher asking fans to follow it on Instagram - albeit done in a fashion that hints at a game in the Far Cry series. Something is definitely going on here, and now we know that it has to do with Far Cry 3. Primal actually reused the Far Cry 4 map and some players accused Ubisoft of just making a prehistoric reskin of Far Cry 4, also calling the game a Stone Age mod of its predecessor. Or, will the remastering trend continue and see Far Cry 3 get a modernized version revealed in the weeks ahead?
