The defense says the relationship with Constand was consensual.
Cosby appeared indifferent throughout much of Constand's testimony. At the time, Constand was an employee at Temple University where Cosby was a trustee. "We have a collective imagination of all of the characters they portray and, because of that, we think that we really know them", Assistant District Attorney Kristen Feden said.
She says they became friends over conversations about the basketball team and later her career. And I felt Mr. Cosby's hand groping my breasts under my shirt. The 79-year-old entertainer, once known as "America's dad" for his role in the 1980s television series "The Cosby Show", has denied all wrongdoing.
The first witness in Bill Cosby's trial said she held off for years going public with the story of how the comedian drugged and sexually abused her for fear no one would take her word against someone she viewed as "the biggest celebrity in the world".
"In my head, I was trying to get my hands to move or my legs to move, but I was frozen".
Cosby - a pioneer for black comedians and TV stars - then led her to a couch.
Andrea Constand brushed aside pointed verbal jabs from fallen funnyman Bill Cosby's high-priced legal eagles during the third day of his sex assault trial Wednesday. Under a settlement Constand and Cosby reached in 2006, Constand was prohibited from speaking publicly about her accusation. He faces three felony charges of aggravated indecent assault.
"No, ma'am, those calls were because Warren Chambers had asked me to deliver salt products to Mr. Cosby and his wife", Constand explained.More news: Wizkid Beats Stonebwoy to Top BET Award

Constand said it was just business concerning the university basketball team.
In yesterday's testimony, a woman identified as "victim number six" described being drugged and sexually molested by Cosby. "I also testified I was really nervous and I wasn't able to recall every particular moment I saw Mr. Cosby". Johnson told jurors the visit happened before Cosby allegedly assaulted her.
Judge Steven O'Neill has allowed the prosecution to call as a witness only one of the other accusers, Ms Kelly Johnson. But her demeanour changed when the testimony switched to the night in question. When she arrived, Cosby offered her "a large white pill", telling her it would help her relax, and when she tried to hide it under her tongue so she could spit it out later, Cosby "insisted that she swallow it". He said Ms Johnson made the disclosure while pursuing a claim that she had developed debilitating stress from her secretarial job at the William Morris Agency.
His defense lawyers asked Constand why she continued to telephone Cosby after the alleged assault and attended one of his comedy shows. Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaul.
From there, Johnson said she felt like she was "under water" and didn't regain full consciousness until Cosby had her on his bed with her dress pulled down.
But Miller's timeline differed somewhat from Johnson's.
Prosecutors on Monday opened the trial with a woman who broke down in tears as she testified that the comedian had violated her, eight years earlier, at a hotel bungalow in Los Angeles.
"She could go to school", he said. Cosby, whose attorneys said is legally blind, is not expected to testify.
