Of course, Apple highlighted new watch faces, but the big theme for the WatchOS was to provide more information and data at a glance. Apple also brought on Lauren Goode to speak well of the WatchOS 4 update with the Workout app. WatchKit for watchOS 4 is available immediately for iOS Developer Program members at developer.apple.com.

Apple watchOS 4 with Siri watch faceSiri intelligence extends further into Apple Watch with the new Siri watch face. The Apple Watch will support iOS 11's new peer-to-peer payment system.

The Siri face will deliver information to the user depending on what time it is and what events the user has lined up for the day.

Apple has released details of watchOS 4 to developers at the company's annual keynote address at WWDC. It automatically syncs your New Music Mix, Favourite Mix and Most Listened Music so that you will listen to your favourite music and more of it. Watch paired with Airpod makes listening to music ideal for workouts or else. Apple prefaced this feature by saying that sometimes your gym equipment can better sense data that your Apple Watch can't, or vice versa. For Crossfitters or triathletes there's also the ability to easilt add a different workout to the same session for those involved in multiple activities. The update features an enhanced Workout app and introduces GymKit, a technology platform that will offer customers connected workouts with cardio equipment. Apple Watch-enabled fitness equipment will be coming this fall, too.

In watchOS 4, the Music experience is getting a redesign and revamp. While both the watch and the machine already do most of these things on their own, they don't always do them accurately - the watch might be better at tracking calories, for instance, but the treadmill may be able to give a more accurate distance reading.

"Toy Story" and other animated faces, but no Watch Face store: Woody, Buzz and other "Toy Story" characters are now built-in animated faces.
