Antonio Williams, from Maryland in the U.S., was left to look after the three girls, all aged under 10.
25-year-old Antonio Williams was taken into custody by police on Friday night (August 18) for the stabbing murders of his sister and two cousins - all under the age of 10. They are the daughters of the suspect's mother's cousin, police said.
'We are now in the midst of a major investigation into what happened to these children and who killed them, ' police department spokeswoman Jennifer Donelan said. When she returned home early Friday morning, she found the girls in a basement bedroom, suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Prince George's County Deputy Chief Sammy Patel called the slayings in a house in Clinton "one of the most hard scenes" that the department's officers have encountered.

He's now in prison at the Department of Corrections, being held without bond.
Three young ladies were cut to death as they rested together in an informal lodging have charged the more seasoned sibling of one of the young ladies who was keeping an eye on with the killings, Maryland police said Saturday. He added that they believed they'd made contact with a parent, but couldn't say any more than that.
"I wear a uniform but I am a father. We have counseling services here on scene dealing with our first-arriving officers".
