Taylor Swift says a former radio DJ grabbed her behind underneath her skirt, not above it, during a 2013 pre-concert meet-and-greet photo session in Denver.
A jury of six women and two men will decide the civil trial.
The photo featuring Taylor and Mueller was leaked online past year and features Muller's right hand hidden behind the pop star's lower back.
"I am being blamed for the unfortunate events of his life that are a product of his decisions and not mine", Swift added later.
"Because my ass is located in the back of my body", she shot back.
Swift testified that her security guard, Greg Dent, saw Mueller "lift my skirt" and grab her but that it was it was impossible for anyone to see his hand beneath her skirt because they were posing for a photo with their backs to a wall.
Asked by McFarland why her bodyguard did not step in when "this big drunk guy" groped her, Swift replied: "No one could have expected this to happen".
"It was a very shocking thing that I have never dealt with before", Swift continued. The story went public after Swift requested that Mueller be banned from attending her future concerts, and Mueller later lost his job.
Swift said she didn't stop the meet-and-greets after Mueller left because she didn't want to disappoint a few dozen people who'd been waiting in line. "I never have said anything different".More news: Body Found in Freezer at Ohio Home
The Grammy-winning artist plans to donate any money she obtains to "charitable organizations dedicated to protecting women from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard". But on Thursday, Swift unflinchingly contradicted that claim before jurors in a remarkably candid testimony.
Mueller has testified that he did not deliberately touch Swift inappropriately, but that he might have accidentally touched her in the rib area in his hurry to jump into the photo shoot with her.
"The case remains underway in federal court in Denver". Below, some of Swift's most defiant, forthright quotes.
Mueller denies the claim, and says the accusations led to him being fired. She says she wants to be an example to other assault victims.
Call said he was "shocked" and "embarrassed" upon learning about the incident and anxious how it would reflect on the station. She said she also couldn't have reported the alleged incident to anyone on her team without the fans that were already there overhearing. Call concluded that he was lying and chose to fire him.
"I wanted to vomit and cry at the same time", Andrea Swift said.
The court has been shown a photograph of the moment when Swift said she was grabbed which her lawyer says is "damning" proof of her claims.
After the alleged incident, Swift said she couldn't make eye contact with either Mueller, or his girlfriend at the time, Shannon Melcher, but said to them in a monotone voice, "thanks for coming".
