The eclipse ended up in SC, and just a few hours before it happened in that particular state, a #Baby Girl was born.
Eclipse Alizabeth Eubanks, was born at 8.04am (US time) on August 21st at Greenville Memorial Hospital, weighing 6 pound, 3-ounces (2.8kg) with a full head of hair. The baby girl was not due until September 3.
Her parents, Freedom and Michael, said the decision to name her after the solar eclipse actually started as a joke.More news: Thousands March in Boston for Counter-Protest to 'Free Speech Rally'
"I kind of felt like it was meant to happen, to have her on this day", Eubanks said when asked about giving birth on eclipse day.
Hours later, Eclipse arrived. I've had some rude comments about her name and I've had some very sweet ones but it's a name - all that matters is that my daughter is healthy and she is here. "We're probably going to call her Clipsey". Employees of the medical institution presented them with a bodysuit with the words "total solar Eclipse".
