Madrid won LaLiga and the Champions League last term, with Ronaldo playing a crucial role in the knockout stages of the European competition as he netted 10 times.

They showed they are no pushovers last season when they knocked Athletic Club Bilbao out of the last 32 of the Europa League.

Ronaldo had been handed a domestic five-match ban after pushing a referee during the Spanish Super Cup first leg, reports Efe.

'I don't know how much I'm worth... "We will get through with the players we have and everything will be all right, I'm sure of that".

"The same thing happened a year ago so we're not anxious at all, the opposite", said Zidane, who is the first coach to successfully defend the European Cup since 1990 and has won seven trophies since taking charge of Real in January 2016.

"He does not contribute with just goals".

'We thought it was unusual that Neymar left Barcelona, ' he said. "He was an important player for them and [the fact] that they could not keep him is a little odd".

"We're happy to have Ronaldo back - physically he is very fit and mentally with all that has happened, with all the talk, he is in a good place".

"I was chatting to him for a while, then he passed me on to the national team coach, who told me he wanted me at all costs".

As well as Ronaldo, Zidane is set to recall Luka Modric and Keylor Navas after resting them to his side's cost against Levante, although Karim Benzema is out for at least a month with a hamstring injury.
