That makes sense for a device that tops our scoring charts -up from the 94 of the Apple iPhone 8 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to a record-setting 98. The Pixel 2's photo performance is really impressive at 99, and just one point short of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which scored an awesome 100 in our photo category. The company only recently tested the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus and gave them the highest scores for camera quality in smartphones. It's quite evident that all the people won't be getting the Pixel 2 or the 2 XL, but they for sure can get the Google search box at the bottom of the screen. Neither phone has a microSD card slot.

"The Pixel 2 still comes with a headphone jack but we have moved to USB-C, a standard that is becoming commonplace in the best phones and laptops of today". So Google proves it that you do not need a dual lens to be the best camera in the world.

The Pixel 2 costs £629 with 64GB of storage and £729 for 128GB. Google has improved its delivery network across the country by partnering with more than a thousand stores. It's a built-in object recognition tool.

Google also posted a video sample of the phone.

The Pixel 2 XL comes with an Always-On display, something the iPhone X lacks despite featuring an OLED screen.

That was the main goal of the recent Google event where chief executive officer Sundar Pichai once again reiterated Google AI's first approach to all development streams. You don't have to pick up your phone or unlock it to see notifications.

We all expected the Google Pixel 2 XL's camera to be stunning, based on last year's model. It works pretty much like Shazam, except that you'll not have to open an app. "[F] or this wave of computing to reach new breakthroughs, we have to build software and hardware that can bring more of the potential of AI into reality - which is what we've set out to do with this year's new family of products".
