Yesterday, Huawei unveiled its flagship phones the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. It really was no secret, from the previous week's various leaks and rumors that flooded the web. Both are powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC and are backed by 4000mah battery. The iPhone X claims to have a screen-to-body ratio of 81.36% which has been defeated by the Mate 10 Pro at 81.61% and the Mate 10 at 81.79%.
The Mate 10 Pro loses out on a 256GB expandable storage, which the standard Mate 10 gets. In addition, the former comes with a 3.5MM headphone jack whereas the latter ditches it completely.
So what do you think about the official price?
Both the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro match the LG V30 in widest camera aperture for a smartphone at a value of F/1.6. Other than that, the two phones are very much alike. Since the smartphone features a large display and does not have enough space to house a Home button below it, the fingerprint scanner is moved to rear side of the phone. Also, a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 will protect your display from damage.More news: Jose Mourinho to limit Antonio Valencia's Man Utd game time this season
According to OEM, the Kirin 970 is the first smartphone processor which happens to be the first SoC to include neural-network processor unit (NPU), however, its sound bit confusing as Apple's A11 bionic chipset already happen to have dual neural processing units. It is worth mentioning that the processor is also accompanied by a dedicated "i7" NPU. The device also comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
On the photography front, the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro sport a dual rear camera setup - 20MP monochrome sensor and 12MP RGB sensor.
HUAWEI highlighted the advanced artificial intelligence capabilities on its new phone it hopes will cement its place among the world's three biggest manufacturers. The cameras are accompanied with a dual-LED, dual-tone flash and a laser autofocus. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel shooter and another 2MP camera, also working together. And after weeks of speculations here's the ultimate good news. Unsurprisingly, the Mate 10 Pro is included with the Google Android 8.0 Oreo, although with Huawei's EMUI 8.0 shell, Huawei's own version of the Android operating system. Whereas the Pro and Porsche design comes with 6 inches FullView OLED display with FHD+ resolution. It rolls out in different color variants such as Prestige Gold, Graphite Black, and Aurora Blue. Opting for the Porsche Design Edition doubles the storage again (256GB), and furnishes the purchaser with some design flourish from the sports auto maker.
