"We had a rough flight to say the least", tweeted Steven Adams as he addressed NASA, Neil Degrasse Tyson and Bill Nye the Science Guy. Adams attached a photo of the nose of the twinjet Boeing 757-200, which appeared dented as if the plane hit something so hard it caused the nose to invert.
Teammate Carmelo Anthony, who took to Instagram to post a similar question, "What possibly could we have hit in the SKY at this time of night?"
Delta Airlines later said the charter plane which had flown the team from Minneapolis to Chicago apparently collided with a bird early Saturday as it was landing.

The team were quite "surprised" after disembarking to find the actual done to the plane. All the players, coaches, and staff aboard the plane landed safely. "30,000 feet in the air".
Delta Airlines spokeswoman Elizabeth Wolf said maintenance was evaluating the situation and the damage was likely caused by a collision with a bird.
After disembarking, National Basketball Association stars Carmelo Anthony and Josh Huestis posted pictures of the damage to social media.
