At least three persons were killed and 20 others missing as a tourist boat capsized in Krishna river near this city in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district on Sunday, officials said. The boat with around 38 persons was heading to the Pavitra Sangamam Ferry ghat near Ibrahimpatnam.
Two teams each comprising 30 NDRF personnel, a 45-member team of the State Disaster Rescue Force (SDRF) and 60 members of the Disaster Response and Fire Services Department have been roped into the rescue operation.

This incident comes after 22 people died after a boat capsized on Yamuna River in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat. Efforts were on to find the remaining seven passengers, the police said, adding that none of the passengers was wearing life jacket. Some of the survivors complained that the police that the boat was shaking right from moment it started from Bhavani Island.
The boat exceeded its maximum carrying capacity of 24.
The state's tourism minister ordered an inquiry into the incident while Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences on Twitter.
