According to the reports, an off-duty army soldier, who had gone missing on Friday evening, has been killed by suspected militants in the Shopian area of South Kashmir.
A bullet-riddled body of 23-year-old Territorial Army man Irfan Ahmad Dar was found in an orchard in Watmullah Keegam area in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Saturday.
Sepoy Irfan Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Muhammad Dar, was with the 175 Territorial Army (Engineers), posted in Bandipora's Gurez village.
In September, militants killed 31-year-old BSF trooper Ramzan Parray outside his home in Bandipora.

She tweeted, "Strongly condemn the brutal killing of Irfan Ahmed, a fearless Territorial Army soldier at Shopian". Dar was resident of a nearby village called Sanzan in Shopian district. "The matter is being investigated by the police", Defence Ministry spokesman, Col. Rajesh Kalia said.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, working president of the opposition National Conference Omar Abdullah and Pradesh Congress Committee chief G A Mir denounced the killing. "Such heinous acts will not weaken our resolve to establish peace and normalcy in the valley", she said in a tweet.
"He was perhaps kidnapped by militants". "The murder of young Irfan Dar is a very tragic & reprehensible act", he said.
This is the third incident of murder of security forces personnel in the recent times.
