The Houston Texans look to have taken a devastating hit that could derail their season.
Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a non-contact injury on Thursday and reportedly suffered a torn ACL. With this knee injury to Watson, Tom Savage will now presumably step back into the starting role. Watson is tied with Carson Wentz for most touchdowns this season, completing 61.8% of his passes with a 103 passer rating.
The injury comes less than a week after Watson's best game of his young season.More news: WWE TLC 2017: 3 Reasons Why Finn Balor Should Defeat AJ Styles
The 2017 National Football League season has seen so many big name stars succumb to the injury bug, it's hard to keep track.
Watson pervioulsy played with a torn ACL before during his freshman year as Clemson Tigers quarterback, succeeding to help in the victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2014.
In the last five weeks, the quarterback has led the Texans to 33, 57, 34, 33 and 38 points. He also rushed for 145 yards and a score. Watson left the game twice, including an early trip to the locker room at the end of the first half, but returned each time.
