"I should nearly be of her mother's age". The meeting is slated at Rajiv Bhawan, the party's headquarters in Shimla.

Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and party legislator from Dalhouise Asha Kumari was booked for hurting a woman cop publicly as the legislator was trying to enter Congress head office Rajeev Bhavan here on Friday to attend party review meeting without showing the entry pass.

Kumari in her complaint accused the woman police of repeatedly slapping, manhandling, threatening to kill and stopping her from entering the Congress office during party President Rahul Gandhi's visit to Shimla on Friday.

At one moment, Kumari, who can be seen arguing, slaps a woman constable to her right, sparking off the series of slaps described above. A senior Congress leader told TOI that after seeing the video, Rahul expressed his displeasure and told Kumari that she should not have hit the cop. "She abused me and pushed me, she should have shown restrain, I am her mother's age, but yes I agree I should not have lost my temper".

"An FIR has been registered against Kumari under IPC sections 353 and 332 (assault or use of criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty)", SP, Shimla, Soumya said. All of a sudden, the MLA lost her cool and slapped the constable.

News organisations have not yet identified the constable who slapped the MLA back.

In the recently held Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, Kumari had won from the Dalhousie constituency by defeating BJP's DS Thakur. He met party legislators, party candidates and district presidents, to discuss what went wrong in the elections.
