Traditional men's and women's curling has been at the Olympics since 1998, but mixed doubles - a faster and sometimes seemingly more chaotic incarnation of the sport - is making its debut at the 2018 Winter Games.
Mixed doubles is happening for the first time at the Pyeongchang Games.

"The ice was a little quicker and a little straighter and we didn't connect with it right away like Korea did". We're going to have to come back sharp.
Canada, now 4-1 and atop the standings in PyeongChang, has never won a mixed doubles world championship, but looks like the favorites for gold through five games. However, they finally faltered in the early stages of the playoffs and ultimately finished 10th.
Matt started curling 16 years ago, and Becca took up the sport two years later. The saying stuck with him because it reminds him of curling and the need to be both smooth and deliberate in the hack.
