Troubled former 49ers and Raiders lineman Aldon Smith is being sought by San Francisco police after they said Sunday that he "fled the scene" where officers had responded to a domestic-violence complaint.
San Francisco police released a statement Sunday naming Smith as a suspect in the Saturday night incident.
After the alleged incident occurred, the 28-year-old fled the scene before police arrived around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bush Street residence.
Smith has been on the suspended list since November 2015 for violating the NFL's policy on substance abuse.

Investigators want to speak with Smith regarding the incident.
That came while police said they were searching for him after the incident.
"I wish the best for Aldon", she said.
"I can tell you this". In his first two seasons, Smith racked up a combined 33.5 sacks and was named a First-Team All-Pro in 2012, notching 19.5 sacks. The 28-year-old's application to the National Football League commissioner for reinstatement was initially denied in 2016 and is still pending.
Last month San Francisco 49ers player Reuben Foster, 23, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, possessing an assault weapon and making threats.
