A charter bus carrying Texas high school band members home from Disney World plunged into an Alabama ravine before dawn on Tuesday, killing the driver and injuring many passengers.
The charter bus crashed into the median of Interstate 10 before falling approximately 50 feet into a ravine under a suspended bridge at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Baldwin County Sheriff Huey Hoss Mack told reporters.
There were 45 people on the bus coming back from a trip to Disney World in Florida. It's not immediately clear what caused the crash.
One person is dead and multiple people are injured after a tour bus veered off a major interstate and into a ravine near the Alabama-Florida state line.

A video of the crash showed a bus on its side in a grassy aqueduct as rescuers with flashlights scoured the area. The driver of the bus was killed and about three dozen others were hurt, mostly teenagers.

Baldwin County Sheriff Mack said emergency units - forced to rappel down the ravine - were dispatched to extricate the passengers.
"Everybody is being transferred to a hospital to at least be checked out", said Elliott.
Traffic was shut down on both sides of the interstate.
Students who were aboard the bus described moments of terror.
The bus was being chartered by the First Class Tours of Houston company.
The bus pulled into Channelview High School east of Houston under police escort Tuesday afternoon.
District officials confirmed the accident in a statement to Click2Houston, but noted "details are limited" at this time.
According to data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the company has been inspected 276 times and has been given 20 violation warnings. Her brother Josh, who was also on the trip, was traveling on another bus and said the family tried frantically to get Bianca on the phone after the crash.
