Heavy rain is tracking through Central Alabama. Rain doesn't return to the forecast until Wednesday afternoon.
The chance of rain continues to climb Sunday night, into Monday. Monday and Tuesday both look to be quite pleasant with partly sunny skies and mild temperatures.
The strong storms wil bring the risk for wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour, which could bring down trees. Tonight there is the potential for some storms to become severe.More news: Apple buys cobalt to secure long-term battery supplies
The rain will start around 6:00pm but the heavy rain and possible thunderstorms won't happen until later in the evening. There's a chance for some rain late Thursday night.
Right now we are under a marginal risk for severe weather. Once this system exits we will finally enter a period of nicer weather. The rain will become more widespread through Wednesday morning and afternoon, with a rumbles of thunder around too.
Here locally Friday through next weekend look absolutely handsome lots of sunshine and highs in the low to mid 70s with overnight lows a little on the cool side in the upper 40s to low to mid 50s.
