WWE officials had a very good reason to keep the match between John Cena and The Deadman short.
Here's the thing: Since everyone still expected Undertaker to arrive at some point to finally accept Cena's challenge for a match, the whole thing was kind of surreal. John Cena spent the kickoff show watching WrestleMania with the fans at ringside, just as he promised he would if The Undertaker didn't show up.
He lost to Roman Reigns past year for his second WrestleMania loss. Cena nearly looked shocked by his appearance and couldn't offer much of a fight.
John Cena really wants The Undertaker to do something and it looks like he might have received his wish.
Cena, who was hoping to cement his legacy, could barely take any shot on his opponent while The Undertaker hit him with nearly every move available in his prestigious repertoire.
More news: Fiji hand New Zealand record breaking defeat at Hong Kong SevensWWE has kept the fight in suspense so far. Why is Cena stuck in a corner floor section instead of sitting in the front row?
Elias insulted Cena and the crowd in New Orleans for a while until Cena attacked him, delivering an Attitude Adjustment and tossing him outside of the ring.
Cena's befuddlement continued as he trundled up the ramp, but just as it appeared The Deadman has chosen to stay dead, the lights went out. He insulted Cena and the WWE fans and started singing. You may not see him, but John Cena is already among the people as a fan, and he looks pretty happy to be there.
Cena was about to leave again when the light went off again and this time it was The Undertaker that came out.
